Signature Work
Fiddleback Maple Altar
A small altar featuring highly prized fiddleback maple, featuring hand-cut chamfered details and curves reminiscent of Japanese architecture. Custom piece handmade by Rogue Aesthetic Woodwork, LLC
Big Leaf Maple Coffee Table
Custom highly figured maple slab coffee table. My wife and I found this slab in northern Oregon and I couldn’t pass it up. A massive crack down the center where two Big Leaf Maple trees had grown together. Features maloof joints for the legs.
Ju-Ju’s Dresser
This dresser features quarter-sawn white oak, bookmatched across the dresser top and drawer faces with brass hardware. Bookmatching creates a symmetrical effect. Quarter-sawing reveals medullary rays(the flecks across the grain). This is a custom piece for a local client who has been a repeat customer.
Purpleheart Altar
Custom purpleheart altar for a client in Denver who wished to have a special place to honor her pets who had passed on to the next adventure. Features a hard wax oil finish, hand cut details and mortise and tenon construction.
Walnut Altar
Custom figured black walnut altar featuring beautiful fiddleback and crotchwood.
The Xylophone Bench
Locally harvested quartersawn cherry carefully crafted into a bespoke entryway bench with maloof joints. This design came to life when I saw that this gorgeous slab had a massive crack through the center of it. I wanted to celebrate the damage it had sustained by “sewing” it back together with bowtie splines. The result is what I consider a stunning beautiful statement piece that was purchased by a client in Mountain View, CA. My dogs are the featured models.
Cherry Coffee Stand
Locally harvested cherry wood featuring a durable and high sheen hard wax finish. Built for a client who values his morning coffee ritual. This piece fits his space and his coffee accoutrement exactly as he wishes. Custom piece handmade by Rogue Aesthetic Woodwork, LLC
